@joe_beaton_npi: Let me set the scene. The buyer is buying a new build home in Plainfield IL. I inspected the home calling out missing rake edge flashings and it to have it installed per code. The builder said (I don't call out people so don't ask lol. Just make sure you always get an inspection and you'll be fine) it passed the city inspection and told my buyer to kick rocks but my buyer isn't just any pushover and was willing to let the deal die if not corrected. So for all parties involved I was asked to provide proof they were missing (I guess a photo isn't enough so I made a video for them). Well mr. builder. I'm a home inspector that actually lives in Plainfield, and I 100% know exactly which builder you were dealing with, they cut corners at every opportunity. and unfortunately the city of Plainfield has gotten very lax with enforcement.

it's gotta be D.R. Horton!! Their houses are complete crap!! The village of Plainfield also responsible for giving Certs of Occupancy when we all have soooo many serious issues with our new construction homes!!
