@liaediitss: A quick reminder: This series focuses on where these iconic figures ruled, led, and made history—not where they were born. For instance, Hurrem Sultan was an ordinary girl in her birthplace, but she became one of the most powerful women in history, the legal wife of the Sultan, and held the title of Haseki Sultan in the Ottoman Empire (modern-day Türkiye). That is where her legacy belongs #isabelofcastile #louiseofmecklenburgstrelitz #hürremsultan #maryqueenofhungary #matildaoftuscany

Y@n1ch :

Hurrem is originally from Ukraine, but she started to believe in Allah because of the love to the Sultan Süleyman

🤍 :

Kösem Sultan is the right choice for Turkey, even if Hurrem is also powerful. But kösem was first ever woman to rule the empire and keep it on its feet. While Hürrem had power in harem, and around Suleyman, Kösem was more politically powerful
