He was hitting on her while she was with dean and ruined that relationship. Logan didn’t do everything perfectly and I know that but he was closest to what Rory was acc like and they made each other betrer

Nobody in Rory’s life allowed her to be messy, to make mistakes, to go a little wild. Lorelai was a “wild child” and liked to drink etc and party, but wouldn’t allow Rory to experience that life herself, it felt like Rory was performing for everyone else. Lorelai had visions for Rory’s life and her grandparents also pressured her a lot - everyone expected Rory to be temperate and accommodating, to be a good girl, a people please - and often, she was mothering Lorelai. She needed more space to breathe and take on her own personality, and in a lot of ways, Logan emboldened her.
