I don't think ppl understand the trauma that comes with physical abuse. I've been verbally, physically, emotional and psychologically abused. regardless of the type or still hurts. ether you wear a physical scar or not! the physical still has me flinching after 24 yrs. so even tho the bruises fade the trauma engraved itself into your soul! it did for me!

Never got to have that conversation with my dad he died 10 years ago never got a sorry nothing. The other one have had 0 contact for 7 years no apology nothing. But its made me the man husband and father I am today. Break the cycle mental health matters mental abuse and narcissism no kid should ever experience.

I’ve been saying this exact thing for years! The bruises went away. The swelling went down. The tears dried. But the audio and the video never stopped in my head.

all abuse is horrible. I don't say I survived, I say escaped. my ex is so good, she has our kids say things to me that triggers my memories like a flood. some people are so happy to be evil, I'm in disbelief. hope you heal, God bless.
