the noise is from the nails that are in the subfloor. if you beat them down and use the screw head to "lock it down" it'll stop squeaking. if you put screws in and don't address the nails it'll still squeak.unsolicited advice 🫶

Theres a actual drill for that..that holds a rack of screws 🤣definitely doesn’t cost 1500 and takes like 5 min to do a whole floor🤣🤷♂️

I cut trees for a living. I undercharge the other guys in the area because 1. I live paycheck to paycheck, I understand money doesn’t grow on the trees I cut, and 2. I like repeat customers and happy people, not people who look at my finished work and say “someone else could’ve done that for half the price”

just rent the screw gun that you use standing up. that's what we did and the job was easy and quick.

Every time I’ve redone flooring in the houses that I’ve owned I’ve re-screwed the floor. It doesn’t eliminate all the squeaks, but they quiet significantly.
