i had a doctor tell this to me while changing my tubes, and he went "j tubes are for people on hospice".... sir??? he also told me i didn't have gastroparesis and he wanted to remove my tubes DURING THE UNRELATED SURGERY?!?!!! LIKE SIR?? WHAT?!?!!!

Hateeeee thattttt. I have an MCAS dr in central Indiana that is phenomenal. Might be a ways to travel but he has never questioned me, even when my MCAS was severe enough for TPN.

Get a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th opinion! How rude... These people just don't care about doing their job or even trying, all because sometimes they don't even know what's going on & want to blame the patient...

As someone who reacts to all food I can confirm it just steps it up with repeated exposure. I have no choice but to do that and I’m absolutely getting worse overtime.

After saying why you need the feeding tubes did that change his mind at all? I can’t imagine I’m hearing that and still saying what he said, but then again unfortunately doctors to read charts.🤦🏽♀️smh I’m so sorry and I’m so annoyed for you :(

I’m being told that my mast cells are just “more sensitive” and just CSU even though I have systemic symptoms. After just 1 tryptase test an hr after a in clinic reaction and them giving me Zyrtec and in the normal range, I’m completely fine. I’ve been to 4 allergists in my state (yes some are “mcas experts”). 🙄

I’ve only ever heard that repeated exposures to items you get flared with makes the flares worse over time? I don’t understand how repeated exposure would be better than no exposure?! I’m so sorry this happened!!

I might be missing a key point, because my knowledge on MCAS is very, very limited. But if you went to him for allergies with MCAS, why would getting on your case about your G and J tubes be a concern to him? Again I very likely could be missing a key point, but still he sounds really rude. Sorry you had a crappy experience. 🖤

My J portion of my GJ tube keeps flipping and needs to be separated m. The GI Dr in the hospital is just stuck on “don’t take pain meds and the gastroparesis will go away.” Sir. That’s uh, not how this works….

Wow this doctor sounds so rude. I’m so sorry, I’ve had my own health journey but not with gp.. I know how some doctors can just be so rude. I’m sorry this was your experience ): some people honestly shouldn’t be in the medical field
