I have a soft spot for Vietnamese elderly because I’m Vietnamese too, but I gave this lady money she said she needed for the TTC fare. Then she asked to try on my bracelets and refused to give them back 😭😭 kinda traumatized me from helping people out

That same lady asked me to help her cross the street from her house to a street car stop… but she became a hazard when she forced us to stop in the middle of incoming traffic to throw green beans into the streetcar tracks… other then that she seemed sweet

I had a similar experience with a lady (not sure if it's the same one) on Dundas and Lansdowne. She needed help crossing the street with her bags so when she asked me I agreed to helped her. It was already dark and was going back from school but then she kind of forced me to get her stuff inside her house and wouldn't let go of my arm. I got very scared and left her things at her doorstep, since then I don't help anyone on the street. I look back at it and realize how dangerous that is, specially now with a lot of human trafficking

I think I helped her one time around College-Bathurst. She saw my food and said she was hungry. So I brought her to the restaurant and buy her food but she started to point to a lot of food. 😬

omgggg 10 years ago I was on the 511 streetcar, about to get off my stop at Bathurst & College. Before even getting off, she TELLS me to help her hold some bags, walk down the steps & to cross the street, strongly holding onto me. I'm telling this lady I'm late for work & unfortunately cannot but would not let me go. Acted all childish, not taking no as an answer & basically whining... The TTC driver tells me to help her & now I'm holding up the streetcar, so I feel put on the spot. We quickly cross the street & as soon as we are, I say I had to rush to work & peel her off me & run back across while the lights were still green. She was definitely trying to say/make me do more but luckily I was able to slip away & make it to work on time 😫
