Tbh, forgiving. Not forgetting. If they wanna continue the relationship things in the past will get brought up regardless. Just need to learn how to talk and comfort eachother. Me n my partner have been together on and off since 2018. It doesn’t get easier but it’s defs easier than meeting someone new. If you both really want it and you are willing to throw your ego and guard away it can work. But it won’t work if you can’t talk about things in the past that still bothers you. Thoughts will always remain in your mind regardless, so share those thoughts and let them decide if they wanna love you, or judge you. And then you can decide if you want someone to love you, or judge you.
