In Time doesn't imagine a world where time is money. It shows you one where money was always time. 🎬 In Time (2011) by Andrew Niccol | IMDb 6.7 At 25, everyone stops aging. After that, the clock on your forearm is your life, and it's also your wallet. Rent, coffee, a bus ride all cost minutes. The poor in Dayton live hour to hour. The rich in New Greenwich carry centuries. The film's sharpest idea isn't scarcity but design. Prices rise on purpose. Not an accident of the system, but the system working as intended: keep the many running, so the few never have to. And the cruelty runs both ways. The poor count every second. The immortal rich grow bored, careful, afraid to cross a street. Abundance doesn't give them time. It drains the meaning from it. You don't need to live in 2169 to recognise the math. 💧 Best for: feeling like you're running out of time, burnout, living paycheck to paycheck, questioning what your hours are worth, losing faith in society #intime #andrewniccol #dystopianscifi #justintimberlake #dontholdbackthetears
