@californiapost: California Post Opinion Editor Joel Pollak explains how the LA school district’s financial crisis will follow Gov. Gavin Newsom on the campaign trail in November. Read more at the link in bio.
LAUSD is too administratively heavy. They need to cut the fat and route extra money to schools and teachers.

The ONLY PEOPLE sending their kids to LAUSD is special education kids for services (which is $$$$$$) or ENGLISH language learners (which is $$$$) all the non sped kids and native language and academically normal kids go to private/charter/move to suburbs. Then you have the unions holding everyone hostage demanding more pay in already financially free fall and low income areas.

There is prop borrowing money for school districts and so much $ goes to them, audit them and see where it is going and fire all the board members and people on top.

the kids are a number worth money the money doesn't go to classrooms or teachers, supporting staff but to unnecessary administrators who work and bleed the system of the funds alloted to students, teachers, and staff with.

Was in a district and the board would not cut costs because of overspending. We all left. We advised, they did their own thing with the unions.

Should have let the teachers strike and then pull a Reagan and fire them all. Disband the union. Then create smaller districts and have the principles run the show.

all of these blue states have been living off their credit cards, and the interest rate is high. they're lost unless they make cuts and do not tax. everybody's saying oh tax billionaires, that's stupid. you need to make cuts to programs and not just small cut programs and make cuts to them or become failed state. I'm talking to you Illinois and California. you can either grow your way out of problems or cut deep.
