after my baptism I thought it would be easy. it's not. but the best advice I ever got is that when you're baptized you begin wandering the wilderness like the Israelites did after leaving Egypt. the Lord is the manna we need to survive. pray to him and he will provide. that's been working for me. change isn't instant, but it does happen.

Ok, so it’s not a contradiction but 1. Jesus paid for all of it already. 2. Keep striving to overcome, but leaning in His strength, not yours. You’re already victorious but you have so many reasons to put “the flesh” in the rear view mirror, and it’s another reason we thank God for everyday and and opportunity to serve. You’re not failing Him unless you give up. Stay in His word. Take it one battle at a time. He had already provided a pure white garment for you. But, there’s so much to do until His return.
