I killed a sand gnat at Parris Island and the drill instructor made my whole platoon do a funeral for it. I had to put the gnat in a cigarette box, stuff it with tissue, bury it with my e tool and other recruits in my platoon did like a air motion 21 gun salute. crazy stuff man

my kid told me when he was in bootcamp the guy next to him started choking at breakfast. the di's came in, did the heimlich, then circled the guy screaming at him for choking without permission 😳

A guy I was enlisted with became a DI and he said what he like to do when he stayed in the squad bay was to instruct the guys that were going to be the last fire watch was to come into the duty hut at exactly 5:15 and open the wall lockers. He would wake up at 5:00 get ready, including his Smokey Bear , and stand in the wall lockers with his eyes closed. The fire watch would come in and open the locker. My buddy would open his eyes and and tell the guy to get back in the squad bay. He wanted them to think he was insane. 🤣🤣

everytime my kill hat would be on duty for the night, he would put an endless recording of crying babies and screaming playing loud as hell. he said it was the only way he could sleep.

One time I was getting screamed at while taking a sht. The kill hat said "put it back in your fcking body!" Bootcamp is funny af 💀 Another kid was kicked into his rack for sneezing

I had a kill hat who made front post whisper all the battles of the marine corps in my ear while I was trying sleep bc he didn’t say front post correctly 😭 Son when I tell you I was crying laughing and the DI goes “where’s your bearing Reynolds?” While he’s chuckling himself 😂😂

I was in the army and our Drill Sergeants always told us that in Drill Sergeant school they had to yell at inanimate objects like trees, ants walking on the side walk, rifles etc. i guess it was all part of practicing

One time in Basic, I had a DS explaining the M4 to us while we stood around the the kill zone at attention (with our rifles). My DS took my buddy’s M4 to use it as a visual aid as he explains everything to us. As he’s explaining, he’s slowly walking around the entire killzone, going to every single private as we stand at attn listening to him. It wasn’t until my DS made it back to my buddy next to me when he looks at my buddy and says through gritted teeth “Where the FUCK is your rifle private”. And my buddy, with damn near tears in his eyes from the fear responds “You have it Drill Sergeant”. My DS looked at him, then down at the M4 in his hands then back at my buddy and says to my buddy “Shut the FUCK UP Private”. To which my buddy complied. The entire time, I’m fighting back tears trying to hold in my laughter so I don’t get smoked. Basic was funny af ngl
