Yeah so, he scares me even more than the trigger fish I work with 🥴 At least the trigger is just a nasty bite and not a lost finger. Every time I help with feeding the large tank he's in, I keep my eye on him! ESPECIALLY when he loses interest in his target and tries to steal food from the sharks and large moray eel 😳

I've worked with snakes twice as long as I am tall no problem, but the sun conure at my work hates me and goes for my face every chance he gets. I have no desire to ever work with parrots.

I worked with a Harris hawk who attacked my face and was less than an inch away from permanently blinding me in one eye. I had several stitches in my face. The next day at work they had me go back over there and work with her like nothing happened 😬

I love primates but they scare me. when I was a kid I wanted to work with primates but the more I learned about them the less I wanted to work with them, especially mandrills, baboons, chimps, and bonobos. I eventually pivoted and started working in human medicine and I have the exact same apprehension about working with psych patients. Patients in active psychosis scare me too
