The way the writer was able to make you feel for his opponents and root for them while making you feel like the big bad and this lost dog is beautiful. reading his fight against the heavy weight camp was a feeling u can't easily get

they changing when J met Yu by Yu is in teenager while in manhwa its when he's kid (ik it doesn't matter but kinda change the story and the original moment doesn't feel right) but hey, atleast we get to see ippo vs yu (technically)

nico :
one of the best parts of the boxer was how well the fights done, if they adapt that part well and if it has good animation it could genuinely be one of the best anime ever imo

ShogunGii :
If this were adapted faithfully, it would easily be a T3 anime for me. The Boxer was life-changing man, such a unique and visceral story. Up there with my favourite manga/manwha ever with A Mark Against Thee, Blood on The Tracks, Kiichi, and Usogui, I think it's genuinely overlooked in its storytelling.
