@holokahome: I decided to share my outdoor fall decor with the wildlife this year. I purposely set out smaller pumpkins for the squirrels to enjoy. I made sure to buy fall flowers that the bees can feed from. And I decided to hang some extra feeders for the birds. While they already have their pick of bird seed, suet, and flower heads, I wanted to add a few seasonal additions to the trees in the form of mini pumpkin bird feeders. So I cut open some mini pumpkins, scooped out the insides, added natural twine for hanging, and filled them with seed. I figured that the smaller birds can enjoy them and won't have to compete with the bigger birds at the other feeders. Plus, they look really cute hanging from tree branches.
