pooping after birth was like having another baby all over again. 😂😂😂

Definitely not tmi, no one tells new moms what to expect about their bodies after giving birth.

Omg nobody told me about stool softeners. I learned AFTER. 100% scarier and harder than giving birth 😂

I didn’t know I was pregnant until 6 months and gave birth prematurely at 7. Continue to give yourself grace and not compare. My son didn’t sleep through the night even once his first year, waking every 2 hours on the clock to feed. Then magically the week he turned one he started sleeping 12 hours a night and continues to even now…as a teenager haha. Your journey is unique to you guys. Wishing you the best ♥️

Important thing to note! Night time breast milk contains melatonin. Which helps baby sleep. You start producing/excreting melatonin around 9pm-6am. When you pump between those hours, bag and label it separately and it will help baby sleep at night. (I learned that 4 months into exclusively pumping with my first).

Don’t compare yourself with anyone! I knew all along I was pregnant and had 9 months to “prepare” but what you’re describing is exactly what I experienced. I was in a dark space, impending doom! Nobody talks about how hard it is to come to terms with the mom identity. And the issue is that society romanticizes this process and what we forget is that most moms go through all the feelings. You’re doing great!! My son never latched and he was a perfectly fine bottle baby. Your motherhood is unique to you. YOU define it and shape it based on your very own experiences. ❤️

Such a fascinating perspective because you were literally just dropped off here without all the preparation and expectations that all the new mothers load up on. It reminds me of when I was left with a friends baby because they ASSUMED my womanhood would just kick in while they took advantage of my stopping by and went to an impromptu dinner. The baby survived, but I was disorientated and inventing everything on the fly the entire time. Anyway, clearly you're doing an amazing job and the surprise of it all strikes me as very chic and retro. Carry on! 💖

As a 2 time mom: Newborns sound like they’re in pain 99% of the time. Mylicon is the freaking best!

Doing both is so smart! I did both as well and was an under producer and had to supplement with formula too. So I was basically always feeding, pumping or cleaning bottles!

Hair loss has to do with all the nutrients you’re losing… get on a good quality fish oil like pro omega from Nordic naturals and a multivitamin like catalyn from standard process and a magnesium glycinate ❤️

I just want to say how impressed I am with how you’re coping with this. I’ve had 2 newborns and I would have probably ripped all my hair out if it hadn’t fallen out first lol. I was basically never not crying with my first, and I literally planned his existence with my husband.

Every kid is different, so don't even worry about other people. If they have advice you can use, great. Otherwise...dismiss it and move on. Also, cup? Just flip that little guy to the other side. And the football hold was pointless for me too.
