I saw someone saying they were going to give him the cure until they saw him panicking and transformed... No, they wanted to be the only ones to have it, which means he was doomed from the beginning, cause they wanted him to go back following the same path that almost killed him but 10 times harder cause parts of it were already destroyed and the infected were waiting for him
