I do agree with this to a certain extent, but humans are social beings by nature and we crave connection with others, especially in a romantic sense. I don’t see what is so wrong with a partner bringing meaning into your life if you can’t seem to find it elsewhere

This has a special meaning, it doesn’t say finding a partner and having a partner isn’t a purpose, and not good. Just that ur life shouldn’t only have a purpose to find and rely on someone else to feel good with yourself. Just to be strong and having a purpose by your own to be able to feel good around yourself. It’s dangerous when you’re searching for happiness and a purpose in someone else instead of actually finding it in yourself, with yourself, first. Thats my view on this post.

I do believe this is right but what do you say for people that do have relationships? That do have families come from that? Doesn’t that mean that their purpose becomes supporting them and loving them? Those people have something to strive towards. What about those who do have relationships? Are they then happy and satisfied but distracted by the relationship itself?

I feel like I have purpose in my career and as a person. Doing nails and doing drag. Finding autonomy in yourself and being alone can be blissful.. but it’s nice having someone in your life to share that with.
