I had a slide of Pocahontas on my board and they asked me how to spell Pocahontas. I started to spell. They ALL started writing. I said P O C A H A U N T E D H O U S E. No one realized until the last letter. They were so mad.

7th grade teacher here. Calling on the student who always answers and making them call on someone else is good. but during independent work, I'll do something off the wall and the one student who saw it can't believe there eyes. but only them saw it and no one will belive them. its great!

When I used to teach kindy, I'd throw the small cushions at kids when they weren't looking and turn immediately acting like I was doing something else. When they'd call me on it I would scold the class for throwing cushions.
