@centralcoastarchives: 🚨 SIERRA LAMAR CASE: 14 YEARS LATER, EVERYTHING IS BACK ON THE LINE. ⚖️ Antolin Garcia-Torres had his conviction overturned, and now he faces a second trial. The defense has asked the court to dismiss the case. Could this trial change everything? 💔 THE STORY THAT NEVER HAD AN ENDING On March 16, 2012, 15-year-old Sierra LaMar disappeared while walking to her school bus stop in Morgan Hill, California. She never made it to school. Despite extensive searches, Sierra has never been found. Investigators presented DNA evidence linking Garcia-Torres to the case. In 2017, he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison without parole. Then came the shocking twist: an appeals court overturned his conviction after finding that combining the Sierra LaMar case with unrelated attempted-kidnapping charges had unfairly prejudiced the trial. Now, more than 14 years after Sierra vanished, the case is back in court. Her family faces another chapter in a heartbreaking case that has haunted Morgan Hill and the entire Bay Area. ❗ HERE'S THE BIG QUESTION: Do you believe Antolin Garcia-Torres was wrongly convicted, or do you believe the original verdict was right? Should he get another chance at trial, even after everything that happened? 👇 SOUND OFF IN THE COMMENTS!
