Psychologist in Nebraska- been saying for years, these boys don’t need new coaches or equipment. They need a therapist.

I think we forget Saban wasn't made in a lab. He's the best cause he learned, I imagine, from many many people. Hearing Saban talking about the guys or moments that made him who he became, is gold. I could listen to these all day.

“If you wanna be better, you’ve always gotta be coachable” and Saban set the example here as being coachable. Amazing story!

Let’s eliminate the final score. Focus on winning the next play. Aside from cool info on Saban. This is really an interesting philosophy to approach just getting better.

This is so much like the “1% a day” method of performance excellence. Don’t try to change it all once. One small step each day, and stack it day after day. Give me 6 seconds, then a drive, then a quarter, etc. This Dr may have been the script writer!

I remember many years ago I was at a hotel and it had a magazine with a piece about Nick Saban and his program at Alabama. I remember specifically reading what a huge difference it made when he brought in a psychologist and actually started caring more about player development as a whole human being, rather than just an athlete. It carried over well. Good article if anyone wants to google it I think it would be like 16 years ago now 👴🏻

save you all the trouble from pay psychologists and therapists. It's you, its always going to be you, it will never be anyone else but you. The game is hiw long they can keep you showing up to appointments.

I attended that Michigan St victory over an undefeated Buckeye team at the ‘Shoe. It was a stunned and silent crowd as the fans left the stadium…including me. 😳
