One mistake I have seen people make when buying from China is assuming the sample quality will automatically match the bulk order. It doesn't always work that way. A supplier can send you a very good sample. You check it, like it, and place a large order. But when the actual production is completed, you may discover differences in the material, finishing, colour, specifications, or overall quality. And this is why I tell people: don't only verify your sample. Verify the actual goods you are paying for. Before your bulk order leaves China, there are 4 things I believe you should do to protect your money. 1. Have a written agreement. 2. Test your sample under actual usage conditions. 3. Check the bulk order before shipping. 4. Plan for order failure. This is also where my team and I at AfricanIES can help. When your goods arrive at our warehouse in China, we can conduct a live pre-shipment verification session with you so you can see and confirm your goods before they are shipped. Where necessary, our team can also visit the factory to monitor production and verify what is being produced. Once the goods leave China, correcting a problem becomes much more difficult and expensive. So don't wait until your goods arrive in Nigeria before checking whether you got what you paid for.
