I did my national service in 2007/2008. It was GHC 138 then. GHC 5 was enough for daily feeding then. Thankfully, I did mine in a small town in the Volta Region so I didn't have to worry about transportation to and from work because it was some short distance. But whatever it is, you are not expected to accumulate money during national service. You will always lose, unless you are lucky to get a high paying private company

NSS allowance is not 715 cedis please, it’s now around 903 cedis wai , because those who finished their service this year got around 9940 cedis in total for the year

Hmmm… 💔😔 Is this really how we treat the very people we call upon to serve our nation? How can an NSA dedicate 11 months to national service, only to finish with debt simply because the allowance cannot cover basic transportation and feeding? This is not just disappointing; it is heartbreaking and deeply unfair. 💔 How do we expect young people to serve with peace of mind when survival itself becomes a financial burden? Must our youth suffer in silence after giving their time, energy, and commitment to the nation? We are not asking for luxury, special treatment, or riches. We are asking for an allowance that can at least cover the basic cost of living. Hmmm… a system that leaves its young people in debt for serving their country deserves serious reflection and urgent action. Our service should be a source of pride, not a journey into hardship. 🇬🇭😢
