Surah An-Nur 24:31 discusses women’s adornment, but the verse does not say that wearing jewelry itself is forbidden. Allah says: > “…and not expose their adornment except what normally appears…” — Qur’an 24:31 The important distinction is between wearing adornment and displaying adornment to non-mahram men. In classical tafsir, zinah (adornment) includes things such as jewelry. The verse instructs believing women not to deliberately display their hidden adornment to men who are not mahram. So: 💍 A woman wearing a ring: permissible. 📿 A woman wearing a bracelet: permissible. 🏠 Wearing jewelry at home, for her husband, mahrams, or other women: permissible. 🧕 Deliberately displaying jewelry/adornment before non-mahram men: this is where the restrictions of Qur’an 24:31 apply. There is also a related instruction in Surah An-Nur 24:31 not to strike the feet in a way that makes hidden adornment known—showing that the issue includes drawing attention to adornment, rather than simply possessing or wearing jewelry. #muslimah #drhaifaayounis #muslimtiktok #islamic_video #islamicreminders
