can i do it even if i'm not Mexican?

espi.grappless :

la catrina it's not culture like we mean it.its a memory of a lot of people that became recognizable,

For all those who ask if they can dress up as catrines or catrinas as if it were just any costume the reality is that You can't take a culture as a costume if the reality behind celebrating those who leave is that many of them are children of mothers who still seek and suffer for them, if you respect the context behind it ofc you are allowed to appreciate our Culture as long as it is treated with respect and dignity because it is not a tiktok trend

Gageyyyy :

I live in Nz and my best friend is Mexican and sge always feels like unseen as she's not surrounded by her culture, I grew up loving the movies of the book of life (im sorry, other than that I dont know anything about La Muerte) but I wanted to suprise her by being La Muerte for halloween, is it allowed? I promise to treat it with my utmost respect and not flaunt it around as some trend and use it soley to embrace he culture

:" Hola mami " " Hola hija " " Mami ya tengo mi disfraz de Halloween" " así hija cuál es ? " " De catrina " " Por qué de catrina ? " " Por qué solo encontraron mis huesos mami "
