If your eyes are becoming more hooded, look at what is happening to your eyebrows first. When the brow sits lower, more tissue can rest over the upper eyelid, making the eyes appear heavier and more closed. Add puffiness around the eye area, and that heaviness can become even more noticeable. Then look at the muscles. The corrugator supercilii, procerus and depressor supercilii all contribute to pulling the medial brow downward or inward. If you’re constantly frowning, squinting or holding tension between your eyebrows, you’re repeatedly recruiting that pattern. This tutorial works on relaxing those brow depressors, improving tissue mobility and supporting fluid movement around the area so the eyes can look more open and the brows less pulled down. And I care about more than the visual change. Learning to reduce unnecessary tension around the forehead, temples and eyes simply helps these tissues function with less constant muscular effort. Save this for your hooded-eyes routine and follow me for the full eye and eyebrow work. 🤍
