Day 1: Varenna & Bellano 🌊 Start at Varenna, one of the most charming villages on the lake. Walk the Passeggiata degli Innamorati along the water, explore the old town, and visit Villa Monastero and Villa Cipressi for some stunning lakeside gardens In the afternoon, hop on the ferry to the quieter village of Bellano and visit the Orrido, a dramatic gorge carved by the river right in the middle of the village. Day 2: Bellagio 🌸 Spend a full day in Bellagio, the pearl of Lake Como. Wander the narrow cobblestone streets, browse the little shops, and soak up the views from the waterfront. Visit Villa Serbelloni or Villa Melzi and its beautiful gardens, and make sure to stay for sunset over the lake. Day 3: Villa del Balbianello, Villa Carlotta & Menaggio 🌿 This day is all about the western shore. Villa del Balbianello is one of the most beautiful spots on the entire lake, with terraced gardens and views that are genuinely hard to believe. From there, head to Villa Carlotta for its incredible art collection and botanical garden in full bloom. End the day in Menaggio, a lovely laid-back town perfect for a long lakeside dinner. A few tips before you go: 🚢 The ferry is the best way to get around, and it’s also one of the most scenic parts of the whole trip. Grab a multi-day pass if you’re planning to hop between villages! 🏡 For where to stay, Varenna and Bellagio are both excellent bases.
