@corykowitzweather: Hurricane Isaias is expected to maintain Category 2 strength when the center of circulation makes landfall around Pensacola, FL late Friday evening. The storm surge could reach up to 7 ft from the Mobile Bay to Panama City/Port St. Joe. That’s enough to flood roadways, sweep cars away, & destroy the first floor of non-stilted homes near the water. Luckily, the storm will move through quickly, limiting rainfall & the strong wind duration. However, inland flooding will still be a very real threat for Southern AL/GA & the Florida Panhandle. There will also be a potent tornado threat in the Florida Panhandle, Eastern Alabama, & Western Georgia Friday afternoon through Saturday. #hurricane #hurricaneisaias
