I’m a stay at home mom. I don’t have to ask for permission to do a damn thing!! My name is on everything from our house, to our investment accounts, to our Fidelity and Morgan Stanley’s. I also meet with our financial advisor monthly with him and he even contributes to a 401(k) for me separately. i’m also his power of attorney We have no prenup. Speak up, say something. You don’t have to agree with everything he wants, marriage is 50–50.

If my husband who pays all for everything up and left me one day I would do what any other human who lost their income would do, go get a job. People act like being SAHM who husband leaves them is a death sentence and they’re life is over. People get fired and loose their income literally all the time. You might struggle for a minute but you find a source of income figure your shit out just like any other human who lost their job would.

I will die on this hill. You need to always be able to take care of yourself and or your kids. I preached this to my daughter & thankful she listened. High School, Degree, Job, Husband, Child, but you better be sure if your alone you can continue your life right on. There is no way in hell I will be at the mercy of a man with my future.

As a sahm for last 8 year that is my constant worry what if he dies or leaves. How will I survive. As a former Montessori teacher I’m filling the work gap by doing before and after care until I can go back full time. But doing soenthigg Ng for you ladies so important. Whatever that maybe par time even.
