@rumii_wisdom: Rumi, whose full name was Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi (1207–1273), was one of the greatest poets, philosophers, and mystics in human history. Born in Balkh (in present-day Afghanistan) and later settling in Konya, Anatolia, he was a scholar of Islamic law and theology before becoming a voice of profound spiritual love and unity. His masterpiece, the Masnavi, is considered one of the greatest works of mystical literature, filled with stories and teachings about the soul’s journey toward truth, compassion, and connection with the Divine. At the heart of Rumi’s message was the belief that love is the force that transforms human beings and reveals their deepest nature. His encounter with the wandering mystic Shams of Tabriz awakened a new dimension of his life, turning his scholarship into a passionate search for divine love and inner freedom. Centuries later, Rumi’s words continue to inspire people across cultures because they speak to a universal longing: to rise above the ego, discover the beauty within, and become one with the love that connects all existence. #knowledge #wisdom #mindset #freedom #life
