My brother is officially diagnosed with ADHD but my mother is in denial and refuses to accept her child is "sick in the head". So my brother can't get the help he OBVIOUSLY desperately needs.

Same thing happened to me. I was diagnosed with NVLD and autism when I was 9. Nobody told me. I felt stupid and worthless for years. I don't understand why some parents don't tell their children! it's so important.

Thanks for sharing. So sorry you had to go through that trauma. My son is AuDhd and a type 1 diabetic. We are doing everything we can to support him.

I have the diagnosis for ADHD and PTSD. I'm not sure if the PTSD presents similar to Autism?. for me, I feel like the PTSD plus ADHD present very similarly to AuDhd. I relate so much to that experience but the origins are different.

I was diagnosed with adhd when I was around 6. then was on meds. then later on growing up I have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety. and doing research I am also autistic. and bipolar.
