Please stay safe Christina. Great tips! Remind people to check on elderly neighbours

Endora :

Just FYI. Freeze water in jugs any kind as much as you can fit in the freezer. It helps hold the cold in and keeps your food colder longer.

CripasaurusRex :

You're in Mobile! I was just there and took a tour of Searcy Hospital! Hope you all are okay. 💙

Kathy Cassel Reyna :

Stay safe, fill up zip Lock bags with water, freeze it . Or plastic water bottles, it keeps your freezer cold.

RFbyArlenne :

Exactly. I clean everything and wash everything. The morning of the expected landfall I always cook some foods that don't need heating up for dinner. After Hurricane Maria we turned our home into a bunker. We have a generator, a backup generator, and two 600 gal. cisterns.

Lindsey :

Cleaned today. I’m one my last load of clothes and I just washed my ass. 😬

Mr.Tim :

All important papers and such should be put in double zip bags and placed in an airtight tub

In Florida we would get a gas grill with a side burner. Then you roll that out after the storm, boil a pot a water make some pour over coffee!

Snick 🌸🌼🌸 :

Always get extra cash. If a tree falls and you need it gone, cash will get the job done fast. Always try to have your prescriptions filled. You can call your Dr to okay this if your pharmacy gives you grief. We bought an artificial turf rug for the garage. Pets do not like to go out in a hurricane!

Tamera G💙 :

stay safe, keep cash on hand and zip lock all your important papers and don't forget the water and a generator

Jersey Girl 48 :

Also, fill up your gas tank in case you have to evacuate or the pumps are down b/c of loss of power. And have cash on hand because store computers may not work.

Gwen Campbell :

Stay safe!
