@boymeetsblank: spotify announced a new multiyear licensing deal with joe rogan on october 8. the wall street journal reports that the deal is worth an estimated $250 million and rogan earns ad dollars as well. spotify hasn't confirmed that figure or said how long the deal runs. the joe rogan experience stays free on youtube, and rogan still owns it. the journal says the terms are similar to his 2024 deal. under that deal spotify sells the show's ads on youtube and apple podcasts, and rogan reportedly gets a guaranteed minimum plus a share of that ad money. forbes puts his pretax earnings from the show at $82 million for the year to june 2026, the most of any podcaster. his 2020 deal made the show spotify-only, and the new york times later reported it was worth at least $200 million. spotify started dropping podcast exclusives in 2023. when rogan went back to youtube in 2024, spotify said it would work to "maximize the audience of the show across platforms." the journal reports the show reached about 28.4 million americans in the second quarter of 2026, up from 6.6 million at the start of 2020.
