One year I invited all the teachers to my room to schedule together. I gave them a sticky note for each speech student they had and marked if they also had RSP/ OT. They all got real flexible real fast!

I work at a special purpose private school and our speech/OTs pull out or push in whenever they schedule. There is nothing they can’t schedule in. Some even scheduled during lunch because our lunch times were a little chaotic with breaks, and they did their session during lunch time. We have mostly AAC users so its helpful to push in for them

151 students on my caseload. Yes it’s terrible and I won’t agree to keep that caseload next year, but I’d still choose school over private practice. I was so burnt out

I tried something new this year, I saved the ALE classroom their times. Then sent out an email to my 3rd-5th grade teachers with times/days I have available with a FIRST COME FIRST RESERVE email title. Worked wonders.

i switched from schools to outpatient and i will be going back to the schools… it’s a lot but i like getting out early, the holidays, and having flexibility for personal appointments

Related services can take them during any academic time for me! I will make up the work they miss or exempt them. Our slps have a caseload of 60 and we have 2 full time and 1 part time!!
