@itsjustme7013: In some unhealthy family systems, one person can become the one who is blamed, questioned, criticized, or treated as the problem. Over time, other family members may accept the same version of events—not necessarily because they experienced things the same way, but because challenging the family narrative can be uncomfortable. For the person being scapegoated, one of the hardest parts can be having their reality dismissed by several people at once. Being outnumbered doesn’t automatically mean you’re wrong. Sometimes healing begins when you stop measuring the truth of your experience by how many people are willing to acknowledge it.
