If both of you can get your CDL and get into truck driving temporarily to help you get on your feet you can live out of the truck with a sleeper. Some companies will allow you to take your pets with you. I got my license 13 years ago as a single mother who couldn’t find a job anywhere. Now I do local runs, but for your situation I would say do over the road or regional so that way you guys can live out of the truck save up your money and then once you get enough, you can find your own place to move into. Just an idea to help you guys out, but definitely research it and see if both of you can get your CDL. I know times are tough but I hope this can help you both out with not having to stress about where you will sleep or if you will have money for food. The reason I recommend both of you getting your license is so you can team drive.

You should talk to the manager of the motel and see if you can help with cleaning rooms so they can take some money off your weekly rent. Girl, I am so freaking sorry for what you’re going through. My family just got an apartment last month in September, after 2 years and 2 months of being homeless. Trust me when I tell you, I hear you and I relate to EVERYTHING you’ve said. Losing your storage unit, losing your car, not being able to afford to eat, unable to save, not having people to help you out. I’m also 26. It was such a long and hard road. That experience has been deeply imprinted onto my soul, but I’m trying to move forward. It’s still not easy. Our apartment is empty, but it’s a home and it’s ours. You and your fiancé will get there too, I promise. Witchcraft is probably going to be what gets you out of your situation. That’s what helped us.

Renting is NOT worth it. It’s almost impossible to save unless you just buy $1 banquet meals but Florida is expensiiiiive. My brother still lives there. :/ I think the best option is to wait until you do qualify for help. Get as much as you can. RV life isn’t as bad as it sounds. Renting is almost impossible as it is the only people willing to rent to me in my town again was the same mfs who evicted me with new management. It’s insane. That one comment about CDL’s, that’s another wonderful option! If I didn’t have three kids stuck in 50/50 week to week I’d be on thaaaaat.

Omg I was in a house fire last summer and felt so hopeless after. We had to sleep on air mattresses for 3 months in an unfurnished house until we moved and had real beds again ❤️I still have nightmares about having to find my dog in the fire when I was suffocating 😭 we all escaped but I feel like it altered me. I just don’t feel like life is real after being in a fire and the world just keeps going on. People expected me to stop feeling scared and anxious a couple weeks after the fire. Being in a fire and losing everything you have is traumatic I don’t know why people act shocked that I’m different now. your problems are also so many other peoples problems right now, it's not from the lack of trying it is truly hard out here necessities are at an all time high paychecks are already used before they come in. I was pregnant and homeless in 2020, it’s fucking hard but it actually does get better I promise. Please don’t give up yet. I know it sounds insane what I’m about to say but it happened for a reason. Even if we never know the reason, good or bad. Mine was to free me from my abusive ex. I had to go through a lot of traumatic experiences but I’m fucking free now. Well, mostly, he’s another woman’s problem now. You’re doing better than you think, budgeting is a SKILL, it must be learned and in this economy that only ever gets worse it feels impossible. I understand. :( you have to make even more sacrifices to rise. Let it all go.
