Anyone saying that Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, even Qiao Ling, were out of character are blatantly wrong in my opinion. This is a very coherent following of all of their character's writing and story. And that starter for the confrontation ?? PURFECT. IT WAS SO GOOD. OH MY GOD. THE FLASHBACK ?!?! STRUCKED ME LIKE THUNDER. Some of y'all need to accept that Link Click characters are deeply human, and therefore flawed. They all have their issues, even since childhood, and it drives their actions and words: No, Cheng Xiaoshi is not purely a sunshine character, he also has major trust and abandonment issues that leads to anger. No, Lu Guang is not a nonchalant composed character, he also has major abandonment issues, PTSD, obsession over control, and does not deal well with confrontation due to childhood trauma. No, Qiao Ling is not being pushy or whatever the hell I've heard people say, she cares and is worried, so she tries to comprehend what is happening without breaking either of them, she's also full of guilt and does not deal with blame well either. They're not perfect. That's the strenght of their character to me. Some people need to keep that in mind. They will do wrong and try to fix it in their own clumsy way. That's Link Click for ya.
