It’s horrible. I have Airbnb‘s on each side of my house. We have a constant influx of strangers coming in screaming kids, barking, dogs partying hanging out in the backyards loud conversations. It’s absolutely horrible.

First, thank you for going the hotel route for B&Bs. You are in your zoning, pay your fees and taxes and serve as a nice little experience for travelers. I think the idea of offering a spare room or part of your home to guests is a nice idea that can provide some great experiences and little side cash for home owners. The current apps blew past that and turned into empires of badly run hotel replacements in communities that don't want them. They made choices, the market did its thing, and I think this is a justified response.
