New England has a way of interrupting my plans with something beautiful, and honestly, I appreciate the audacity. 🍂 Along Route 4A near Stearns Road in Wilmot, New Hampshire, this view was giving me every reason to slow down. Rusty reds, warm copper, little pockets of gold, and deep green evergreens covered the hillside, with the whole scene reflected in the water below. One beautiful fall landscape is lovely. Nature showing it off twice? A little excessive, but I approve. The tawny grasses along the water and patches of floating vegetation added so much texture to these photos. Even the trees already showing bare branches were part of the beauty. Fall does not change everything at once, and that mixture of colors, evergreens, and exposed limbs makes the season feel different around every bend. There is history along this stretch, too. According to the Wilmot Historical Society, this road was built as the Fourth New Hampshire Turnpike, incorporated in 1806. Originally a toll road, it served as the main route between Concord and Hanover. It makes you think about the generations of travelers who passed through this landscape long before we had navigation telling us where to turn. I wonder how many of them paused to admire the view. You know how much I love the woods and water, and this is exactly why. Give me a quiet stretch of scenery and a hillside wearing its October best, and I am a very happy woman. Keep looking around, my Feral Vibe Tribe. Your next favorite moment might be somewhere between where you started and where you thought you needed to go. 🧡 #DomesticGoddess603 #Nature #Travel #Autumn #Photography
