@bigpro427: technically you can’t rest too long but i often see that people do with the idea that it is best for them and wonder why their sessions take forever. lemme know if there is grammar or spelling stuff i cba to read over my own stuff 😭 - coaching / custom programs / youtube in bio #gym #GymTok

I've been doing 2 sets of chest press and 1 set of low to high fly twice a week. I haven't made any progress on the chest press in a month, only specifically on this exercise. I do 2 sets lat pulldown and 1 set upper row twice a week but have been progressing pretty well. Do you think I'm not recovering well for my chest? Im not sure since Im progressing on every other muscle group with the same volume

I just go 3 min for like easy movements. But like 5-7min for weighted dips or pull-ups or something exhausting

what would be the most efficient way to reduce the amount of time it takes to rest in between sets?

Simon Lederman Greis :
the metabolite fatigue gotta be the fatigue point that's most important though right? Like almost all recommended rest periods are above the time it takes to get down to a reasonable pulse. I agree with the point of going when ready but you disregarded metabolite fatigue in the last slide?

I like to do super duper sets. I’ll do a set of curls, rest 30 sec ( setting up exercise) then do tricep, then do a heavier lift like leg extensions. I’d then rest 2 mins and repeat so I get 2x sets.
