I was running dumps a couple years ago and we had 5 drivers get overweight tickets and there wasn't any scales within 200 miles. They pulled us over and scaled us on the side of the interstate. We were working the 24/75 project in Chatt.

They always come for them. They don’t scale the axle right most of the time. So it’s almost always an over axle ticket. I got got a few times back in the day

That is an End Dump yesterday was a belly Dump they get paid by the ton. He knows that. So when they are overweight, he gets paid by the ton.

Dump trucks and stick wagons are notorious for being overweight and are often targets for portable scales. This is especially bad in Alabama where they only have one permanent scale
