If this reaches anyone feeling doubtful about what you truly deserve in life, and if you're frustrated by the circumstances that hinder your dreams, I understand your grievances—maybe more than most. The silver lining is that your pure intentions and purpose make a difference. Your self-determination to keep learning and to become a better version of yourself matters. My romanticization of the Oxford journey represents what it felt like to be a student here. In fact, the experience has exceeded my expectations, as I made beautiful memories I will cherish forever. But that story should also include a factual narrative, especially for those with different realities—those who must climb, run, and sacrifice so much just to open the door.
