I spent years watching my children try new things. At 53, I wanted to join them 💛 After raising three children, putting myself on the list didn't come naturally. There was always someone who needed me, somewhere to be, or one more thing that had to get done. But these days, I want more moments like this. Learning something new. Getting the steps completely wrong. Laughing about it. And reminding myself that getting older doesn't mean I have to stop being a beginner. These 3 things helped me start making more room for myself: 🏋️‍♀️ 1. Building strength Light dumbbells, simple movements, and consistency. I just kept showing up. 🔋 2. Creating a morning routine for myself I used to think feeling drained by early afternoon was simply part of getting older. Then I learned about NAD+ — a molecule our cells use in energy metabolism that naturally declines with age. Supporting mine every morning changed everything. 🧬 🧴 3. Moisturizing right after I shower While my skin is still slightly damp. It locks in moisture and it's the easiest habit I've ever stuck to. I still love showing up for my family. I've just learned that taking care of them doesn't mean I have to stop taking care of myself. And apparently, taking care of myself now includes trying to keep up with my son's dance moves 😂💛 Click the link in my bio to grab exactly what I use and swear by 💛 Follow me first so it doesn't get lost! Send this to your son or mom 💃🕺 I'm not a doctor, I'm just your average 53 year old. Just sharing what personally worked for me. Move more. Live fully. Age fearlessly. 💛 #womenover50 #usawellness #fitover50 #dance #healthyaging
