the fact Stanley Tucci struggled with this role so much and would constantly check up on the kids to make sure they were okay. he also refused to do a more intense scene for her death as he didnt want to traumatize the actress

I love that this book gave a personal narrative to a type of character that is rarely ever seen from an insider’s perspective. She wasn’t just tragic dead girl who haunts the narrative. She was a fully realized character.
