I had an Arab doctor once argue with me over sexuality and said it was against his beliefs so he wrote in my permanent medical record that I’m heterosexual. All I wanted was my anti depressant repeat script and he was drilling me on pregnancy questions like bro… catch a fuckin clue??

My psychology, teachers agree with me that religion should never interfere with science because religion isn’t based on facts and science is (I’m not saying having a religion is wrong. I’m saying that it’s not scientific.) so sadly, one of the teachers believes neurodivergence It’s just learned behaviors from the parents.

If a doctor refuses you BC or access to having your tubes tied, request a medical note on file stating exactly why they refused you. They tend to change their tune because they know it risks their job and they could be refused. My sister did this and within 2 weeks she was approved for the waitlist to get her tubes tied.

In these situations, the best thing you can do is let EVERY other nurse / doctor know. Tell them “doctor ____ is refusing me care because of his religious beliefs. please assign me another doctor”They’ll likely report him as well.

Okay this is getting a lot more attention then expected, i’m so sorry to all the ladies in the comments who have experienced similar issues with doctors. To clarify this was in Canada not the states. i was supposed to be booked with a female but wasn’t (for some reason) and he was been reported but unfortunately the canadian healthcare system is a joke. I’ve found new resources to get the support i need but thanks to everyone who gave me advice in the comments

I had a Muslim doctor once and she was arguing with me abt starting T and saying that it wasn’t right and that I should get my mental health checked. Never reported and got a new doctor so fast and I’ve been on T almost 2 months now
