I ended it with him 4 months ago. When we got back together, he said he wasn’t sad I had ended it. He was busy with a roster. He didn’t care. Shattered my heart & soul. I can’t recover from him not caring about me in those 4 months after 1.5 yrs

Avoidants fear shame, emotionally intensity and conflict. They will never miss you nor will they reconnect because that means returning to that shame. They’ve suppressed that attachment to you indefinitely. They will move on, maybe potentially things might be different if you had a very long relationship

100% true! Married 32 years in November- at 25 years I was exhausted mentally and physically I was going through loss and menopause after a major surgery! Long story short I felt alone sitting beside him because I needed to slow down our lifestyle but he kept the same pace…. I up and left everything- kids grown and he was not hearing me! I still talked at first but his actions weren’t matching. Went no contact - completely we filed after 2 months paid lawyers served papers and nothing for 3 months- Covid hit I was 8 hrs away. I called him after 6 months asking him to finally sign the papers but talked all night he drove to me begging to reconsider the divorce I gave him conditions stuck to my boundaries and worked on myself too happiest we’ve ever been and feel like best friends! I only threatened one time 2nd I left 3 rd silence. He was left to himself 🥰
