You never know where you stand, but there is a system behind it. Anna's eVisa: fully digital, approved in 3 days. Mehmet's work visa: several authorities, apostilles and one missing document, 3 months. A family reunification with a security review: over 6 months. What decides the waiting time: visa type, nationality, demand, appointment bottlenecks, documents, number of authorities, digitalization. Tips: follow the official checklist, order apostilles and translations early on, book appointments as soon as your documents are complete and plan a time buffer. Got questions?
