@truecrimewithwine: 🚨 TRUE CRIME: THE CHAFFIN BROTHERS 🚨 💔 On July 24, 2022, 37-year-old William “Bubba” Johnson was brutally killed at his home in San Juan County, New Mexico. But behind this shocking crime was a complicated love triangle involving two brothers, Tyler and Eli Chaffin, and a woman named Sierra Collins. 👀 So what really happened? Tyler and Eli Chaffin went to William’s home under the pretense of checking on a vehicle belonging to Sierra, who had been involved in a relationship with William. What followed was a deadly confrontation. Tyler got into a physical altercation with William, and Eli ultimately shot him. The brothers later claimed that Sierra had manipulated them by portraying William as someone who had mistreated her. Investigators also uncovered allegations that Sierra had encouraged violence against William, including disturbing text messages sent shortly before the killing. ⚖️ WHAT HAPPENED IN COURT? Both brothers accepted plea deals in 2024. Tyler Chaffin received 15 years in prison after entering a no-contest plea to second-degree murder. Eli Chaffin received 6 years in prison after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter. Sierra Collins was also charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. However, she died after experiencing serious medical problems while in custody, and the charges against her were dismissed following her death. 💔 THE TRAGIC AFTERMATH William was a father of two daughters. His family was devastated by his death, and relatives publicly expressed anger and disappointment over the plea agreements, feeling that the sentences failed to deliver the justice William deserved. Whatever role manipulation may have played, William lost his life, his daughters lost their father, and two brothers faced years behind bars. #TrueCrime #truecrimestory #truecrimecommunity #truecrimeobsessed #truecrimejunkie
