gendered bathrooms don't make much sense. and unisex bathrooms could definitely work if they do them right. they could just make unisex bathrooms a lot more private instead of having stalls with a one foot tall gap at the bottom. my college has unisex bathrooms and there's been no problems. the only thing is is that they didn't put a bin in the toilets so there's nowhere to throw away your used period products.. but that's more down to misogyny I think.

a restaurant i frequent does this. communal sink area with stalls with no gap in the door, and a mirror in each stall. it works perfectly

I always bring up the fact of the lack of tru privacy public restrooms have. The gaint gap in the stalls, thin walls in between stalls, terrible urnail placements that's what I can most people to at least start agreeing with.
