This is similar to what I say for end of games. If you’re in a one score game but you’re up 5/6/7 points and your offense has had no problems getting into field goal range, just let the opposing team score. Don’t try to stop them, give your offense time on the field to keep momentum and be in control of the clock. The amount of teams that I trust their 2-minute offense more than their 2-minute defense is insane. Keep your offense on the field when you’re playing from a lead, let the opposing team catch you, but never let them pass you by more than 2 points. The longer their offense is on the field, the more your offenses rhythm is disrupted, and the harder a sub-30 second comeback is to pull off.
